Visa issues:
Pursuant to an agreement between Russian Federation government and Republic of Fiji government of mutual abolition of visa requirements for Russian federation citizens and Republic of Fiji citizens of 28.06.2013 citizens of Republic of Fiji can stay in Russian Federation for up to 90 days without a visa.

Visa issues:
To travel to Fiji for the purpose of tourism, Russian citizens do not need to obtain a visa in advance. When crossing the Fiji border, an entry permit stamp is placed in the passport, giving the right to stay in the country for up to 90 days. The cost of the fee is FJD $91.
To travel for the purpose of study, work and for a period of more than 90 days, a special permit is required, which is issued through the Embassy of the Republic of Fiji in Japan:

Passport validity:
Passport valid for at least 6 months required after intended departure from Fiji.


Additional requirements:
When crossing the border, upon request, you must present a return ticket, proof of residence, purpose of travel and a health insurance policy. Insurance must meet following requirements:
  • The validity period of the insurance is not less than the stay period in the country.
  • Insurance coverage from 30,000 euros, from 2022 the insurance must cover the costs associated with COVID.
  • The contract must not include a franchise.
  • Insurance policy must be nominal.
  • Insurance policy must be in hard copy.
Getting married in Fiji
The original documents are required:
  • Birth certificate;
  • Bill of divorce, if it’s a second marriage;
  • Death certificate of the deceased former spouse, if applicable;
  • Passports;
  • Couples under the age of 21 must present a document of certified consent signed by the parents;
  • Confirmation Letter: Marital Status Letter;
A photocopy of the required documents must be received at the registry office at least 2 weeks before the date of marriage. This can be done by fax or mail.
The original documents must be presented during a personal visit to the registry office.
